Instructions

    • 1

Carefully remove the picnic table stand from the packaging. Check that all the components are there. There should be four table legs and two support struts.

    • 2

Remove six of the 3 1/4-inch screws. The remainder of the hardware will be utilized to attach the lumber to the top of the picnic table.

    • 3

Hold the highest side of two of the table legs together. They should curl at the top to form a loop and they should both curl away to form a large C shape on either side of the table. Thread the nuts through the two holes and tighten with the wrench. Repeat for the other legs.

    • 4

Secure the support struts to the top of each of the table legs using the wrench to tighten the nuts.

Tips & Warnings

  • Cure or stain the wood before attaching it to the top, especially if you intend to use the picnic table outside. Untreated wood will warp over time. The recommended lumber size is 2 by 10 inch, but you can make the table top bigger or smaller to suit your space.

  • The 3 1/4-inch bolts stick out, especially under the table once the lumber is installed. You can use a hacksaw to cut the excess off to prevent the bolts from scratching people's legs or buy 3-inch bolts instead.
