How to Edit Labels in Blogspot

Google's free Blogspot service gives you the ability to add words and phrases called "labels" to each post. A post displays these keywords at the bottom. After you have published many posts on your blog, many posts may contain some of the same labels. Readers can therefore use labels as a means of finding similar content after reading posts that they enjoy. You can edit the labels on a post after publishing it. If you spelled a label incorrectly or want to reorganize your blog's content, use the "Edit Posts" screen to change the labels on a post.

Instructions

    • 1

Navigate to Blogger.com in your Web browser to display the Dashboard page for your account. If Blogger displays a login page, enter the email address and password for your Google account to continue.

    • 2

Click the "Edit Posts" link under the title of the blog containing the labels that you want to edit.

    • 3

Click the "Edit" link next to the title of the post containing the labels that you want to edit. This displays the composition screen for the post.

    • 4

Select the "Labels" field at the bottom of the post composition screen, and make the desired changes. Push the "Backspace" key to delete a label, or type new labels as desired. Separate each label with a comma.

    • 5

Click the "Publish Post" button at the bottom of the screen to save your changes.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can also edit the labels of multiple Blogger posts simultaneously. After clicking "Edit Posts," place a check in the box next to the title of each post that you want to change. Click the "Label Actions" drop-down menu above the post list, and then select a label under the "Apply Label" or "Remove Label" section to add a label to -- or remove a label from -- all selected posts. Alternatively, click "New Label" to add a new label to all selected posts.
