1
Cut a piece of florist foam large enough to fit entirely on a cake stand. The more foam you use, the more water your flowers and greenery will have, so be generous. Set the foam on the top of the cake stand and tape it in place with green floral tape.
-
2
Insert greenery stems into the florist foam, around all the sides and the top, leaving the center bare. The greenery should cover the foam and also drape over the edge of the cake stand.

3
Wrap florist tape around the stem of a glass or crystal goblet just above the base. Tap the tape gently with a hammer until the base breaks off. Push the taped end of the stem into the center of the foam. Add more greenery around the glass.
-
4
Cut red rose stems to 3 inches and insert the stems around the centerpiece, amongst the greenery. Place the flowers so they are evenly spaced around the center piece.
-
5
Fill the center goblet with strands of gold beads. Insert a candle into the center of the goblet, arranging the beads so they hold it up. Pour water into the florist foam. Continue to add water as the foam dries.
