Instructions

    • 1

Separate the hair into four equal sections and secure each section with a large hair clip. Part the hair using a rat-tail comb into 1-inch grid-like sections.

    • 2

Separate your hair into two equal strands. Fold the kinky weave over your hair, at the scalp, like an arch, so that it hangs next to the two strands of hair. It should look like this: kinky weave, hair, hair, kinky weave. Hold the right strand of your hair and the right strand of the kinky weave together with your right hand.

    • 3

Twist the left strand of your hair with the left strand of kinky weave together, in a clockwise motion, with your left hand. Continue twisting a total of three or four times. Secure the twisted strand by firmly gripping it between your index finger and your thumb.

    • 4

Cross the twisted side over the right strands of loose hair and kinky weave. The twisted strand should now be in your right hand and the loose strand of your hair and the kinky weave should be in your left hand.

    • 5

Twist the hair strand and kinky weave together, in the same direction, three or four times, with your left hand. Secure the twisted strand by firmly gripping it between your index finger and your thumb. Both sides should now be twisted about two inches down the length of each strand.

    • 6

Twist the two strands together by folding one strand over the other, until you reach the end. Repeat the twisting process with each section of hair until the entire head of hair is twisted.

    • 7

Roll the ends of the weave with a small rod roller to curl the ends and keep them from unraveling. Dip the rods into hot water to lock in the curl. Lightly spray your hair with oil sheen to add shine.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make parts as neat and as straight as possible for a uniformed look. Curl the hair around your index finger while twisting to create a more secure twist. Add gel to the end of your hair for a more polished look.

  • Twist that are too tight along the hairline may stress the edges and cause hair loss.
