Instructions

    • 1

Measure the floor and note the dimensions of the section of room to be separated. Measure the distance from the ceiling to the floor or desired hem height for the curtains. Subtract 4 inches to account for the space between the ceiling and the curtain rod and purchase curtains the length of the sum.

    • 2

Measure and mark the ceiling to the same dimensions. Locate and mark any ceiling framing studs along the path of the partition. Position the mounting brackets against the ceiling and mark the ceiling at each screw hole.

    • 3

Fit an electric drill with a bit one size smaller than the mounting screws and drill a pilot hole through each bracket mark not aligned with a framing stud.

    • 4

Hammer drywall anchors gently into each pilot hole. Hold the brackets back up to the anchors. Screw the mounting screws through the brackets and into the anchors or studs.

    • 5

Thread the curtain rods through the tab at the top of the curtains and insert the rods into the mounting brackets.

    • 6

Tighten the tension screws to secure the rods to the brackets.
