Instructions

    • 1

Cut a cucumber in half and rinse it thoroughly.

    • 2

Toss the cucumber half -- skin and all -- into a blender or food processor. Pulse the cucumber until it becomes a well-blended mush. If you don't own a blender, simply smash the cucumber with a fork or potato masher.

    • 3

Make a few additions to your cucumber facial mask, if you wish. Add 1 tablespoon yogurt or 1/4 cup oatmeal to soothe and moisturize your face. A teaspoon of citrus juice will treat acne-prone, oily skin. Add two or three drops of tea tree oil for its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Mix your additions with the cucumber in the blender and pulse it two or three times until the ingredients are well combined.

Apply the mixture to your face with your hands. Leave the mask on for 10 to 15 minutes and then rinse off with lukewarm water.

Tips & Warnings

  • While the cucumber mask is on your face, place two cucumber slices over your eyes to reduce puffiness.
