DIY: Temple Blocks
A temple block is a small block of wood or glass adorned with the image of a temple and used for decorative purposes. The blocks are typically associated with the Latter Day Saints, but anyone can learn to make one. No matter what your religious affiliation, temple blocks are easy to assemble and make quaint decorations for your home.

1
Purchase a small block of wood, glass or resin. The block should be around 8-by-8 inches in size. Wipe down the sides to make sure they are free of dirt and grime.
-
2
Cut out images of temples from photographs or postcards. Using old black and white images gives the block a lovely vintage appeal. Cut the images to size and attach to the sides of the block. As an alternative to the traditional temple block, you can choose images representing different religious structures or places of importance to you and your family.
