How to Troubleshoot an Aquavar Transducer

Aquavar is a company that manufactures a line of industrial water pumps and motors designed for use in various irrigation, filtration and boiler feed purposes. The transducer is the component that regulates water flow and is connected to the water line. If you have been having problems with the water flow, you can quickly troubleshoot the problem and get the unit operating again.

Instructions

    • 1

Power off your Aquavar pump, and unplug it from its power supply.

    • 2

Locate the transducer assembly on the rear of the unit.

    • 3

Verify that the threaded adapter tip is screwed tightly onto the body of the transducer. If it isn't, tighten it.

    • 4

Verify that the transducer cord, which plugs into the back, is the same cord that originally came with it. The unit will not work with any cable other than the exact type it was installed with. If the cable has been replaced, consult your user's guide to find the cable specifications and order a new one form the manufacturer.

    • 5

Verify that the transducer cord is connected to the port at the rear of the transducer body. If it isn't secure, unplug it and plug it back in -- making sure that it is secure.

    • 6

Check the transducer cable to ensure there are no holes or leaks. If there are the cable will need to be replaced.

    • 7

Check the cable connection to the water supply and ensure that it is secure.

    • 8

Plug in the Aquavar and reset the system according to the manual. The transducer should be functional and regulating the device correctly.
