How to Play Sounds Over Skype Without Having to Put the Mic Up to the Speaker
The Skype Internet calling program lets you place online calls to other Skype users. By default, the audio for these Web calls comes from a microphone -- built-in or connected to your computer. If you want, however, you can also use the Stereo Mix feature on your computer to play sounds and music through the Skype program. Stereo Mix outputs the sounds directly from your computer, meaning you can play sounds over Skype without the use of a microphone or speakers.
