How do I Configure Kronos for the Holiday 3rd Shift?

Keeping tabs on your employees' schedules can be hard during a normal work week, but as the holidays hit and you add extra shifts, this process can become even more difficult. The Kronos computerized timekeeping system allows you to enter employees into the system and create a schedule that all employees can see, so they know exactly when they are working. You can create a holiday third shift in the system, and assign employees to work it using Kronos.

Instructions

Open up the Kronos program, and log in as an administrator. Once you are logged in, click on the "Schedule" tab on the toolbar at the top of the screen. Here you will see the current schedule as it is saved, as well as a list of employees currently in the system.

Click on the employee you want to add to the holiday third shift. All the dates he currently is scheduled to work are shown. Press the "Shift" button and then the "Add" option to add one day or "Add Pattern" to add a reoccurring shift.

Wait for the schedule editor to appear. When it does, click on the "Day" option and select the day you want to add the shift to. Click on the "Time" option, and select the start and end times for the new shift. Click "Save" on the menu bar, and the shift will appear in the schedule.

Click on the second employee you want to add to the holiday schedule, from the list of names. Repeat the process in Steps 2 and 3 to add this person to the new shift. Continue adding employees until the shift is covered. When finished, click "Save." Then click "Print," if you wish to make a hard copy of the new schedule.
