How to Lock an 8350i Phone
Your BlackBerry Curve 8350i is designed to store a lot of your important information, like your address book, email messages, text messages and even business documents, so when you have to walk away from your device, it's important to ensure that all that information is safe. The best way to protect your device is to lock it while you're not using it, and all you have to do to get the lock working is set up a password.

Press the "BlackBerry" button, located to the left of your 8350i's trackball, to bring up the device's home screen. Scroll down to the Options icon, which looks like a wrench, and select it.

Scroll down to Password in the Options menu and select it.

Select the drop-down box next to "Password" and choose Enabled. Then select the "Set Password" button.

Type in your desired password, and then press "Enter." Type in your password a second time, to ensure that you entered it correctly, and press "Enter."

Press the "BlackBerry" key and choose Save to save your changes. Press the "Back" button to go back to the home screen.

Scroll to the Password Lock icon, which looks like a padlock, and select it to lock your BlackBerry 8350i.

Tips & Warnings
If you want your BlackBerry 8350i to automatically lock after a given time, select the drop-down menu next to "Security Timeout" in the Password screen. Select the interval after which you want the device to lock itself. Then press "Back" and choose "Save."
