How to Print A3 on an A4 Printer

When you print from a computer, you have the option of using many paper sizes depending on your printing needs. A4 is the standard paper size and measures 8.5 x 11 inches. A3 paper is larger and measures 11 x 17 inches, and is often used when printing brochures and small banners. To print on different paper of different sizes, configure the printer properties to match your paper size. You can print on A3 paper using an A4 printer as long as the printer tray can support paper 11 inches in width.

Instructions

1. Double-click the document you wish to print. The document will open in the default program associated with the file type.

2. Click "File" from the top-menu and then select "Print."

3. Click "Properties" from the Print dialogue box.

4. Click the "Page Setup" tab.

5. Click the drop-down box next to "Page Size" and select "A3."

6. Click "OK" to save your setting and then click "OK" again to print.
