How to Bypass the Water Filter on a Frigidaire Refrigerator
Frigidaire refrigerators with water filtration use the "PureSource Ultra" filter system and the filter is usually located in the top right-hand corner of the refrigerator. While Frigidaire recommends that you replace the filter every 6 months or less for proper water and ice filtration, you may choose to bypass the water filtration system. Hold the currently installed water filter with a towel, turn it counterclockwise and pull out firmly to remove.

Insert the bypass plug that comes with the Frigidaire refrigerator and turn clockwise slightly while pushing into position.

Flush the system by holding a container under the water dispenser chute and dispense water for 4 minutes.

Press the "Water Filter" on the control panel until the filter display changes back to green.
