How to Troubleshoot an LG VX8350

The LG VX8350 is a multimedia cell phone that includes features such as a built-in digital camera, a digital media player that allows you to play your favorite music and SMS and MMS messaging. Compact in size and running on a 1,000 mAh battery, the VX8350 may run into occasional problems that could interfere with performance. Common problems may be related to power, settings and system issues. A few troubleshooting guidelines may improve your phone's functionality.

Instructions

1. Connect your LG VX8350 phone to AC power and charge it if it's not turning on or if you see a low battery warning on the display. If your phone isn't charging, unplug the power chord and then clean the power plug pin with a dry, lint-free cloth. Connect the phone back to AC power.

2. Turn off your phone if you accidentally drop it in water. Slide open the battery compartment and remove the battery. Clean the phone with a dry, lint-free cloth. Reinsert the battery and turn on your phone. Contact your wireless provider if the phone doesn't turn on, because it may be severely damaged.

3. Do not touch the antenna if you're having signal problems. Contact with the antenna affects call quality and may cause the phone to operate at a higher power level, which could potentially damage it. Move around to find the best signal.

4. Reset your phone if you're having system problems. To do so, press the "MENU" button and select "SYSTEM AND TOOLS."

5. Press "6" to select "Phone Settings" and then press "6" again to select "Security." Enter your four-digit lock code and then press "5" to select "Reset Default." Select "Restore Phone" if you want to wipe your phone's memory.

6. Press "OK" and enter your four-digit code again to confirm.

• Always unplug the power chord prior to cleaning your phone.

• Keep magnetic items such as credit cards or subway tickets away from your phone, because the magnetism on the phone may damage the data stored on the magnetic strip.
