Tutorials for Layers in a Dialog in GIMP
Layers are a way to work with multiple images or multiple copies of the same image on a single canvas. The layers are stacked like multiple transparency sheets. The Gimp image editor shows all of a project's layers in the Docking and Dialog window. When you click on the Layers tab of the Docking and Dialog window, you see a list of thumbnails images. Each thumbnail image represents a layer. By clicking on the thumbnails, you can edit the corresponding layer. The Docking and Dialog window is also used to create new layers or duplicate existing layers.
