How to Combine Objects in Blender

Combine objects in Blender using your mouse and keyboard shortcuts.

Blender is a free software suite that you can use to create your own 3-D animated movies and games on a Windows, Mac or Linux system. If you have multiple objects in Blender and you want to combine them or apply the same effects to each object, you can use Blender's "Join Objects" feature. Once combined, the multiple objects will be recognized as a single object.

Instructions

1. Open Blender.

2. Click the "File" menu and select "Open" from the drop-down menu.

3. Locate the file you wish to edit and click on it. Click the "Open Blender File" button.

4. Right-click the first object to select it.

5. Hold the "Shift" key and right-click the second object to select it.

6. Press the "Ctrl" and "J" keys together to combine the two objects. Alternately, you can click the "Join" button under the Objects menu on the left side of the window.
