How to Troubleshoot the Defrost Cycle on a Weather King

Take a few steps to troubleshoot the defrost cycle on your Weather King.

Weather King is a line of heaters and air conditioners. There are many features on these appliances, and finding out what is wrong with one of them can be difficult for someone who is unfamiliar with appliance repair. But if you want to troubleshoot the problem without calling a repair service, a good place to start is by replacing its defrost board. A faulty defrost board is one of the most common problems with the unit.

Things You'll Need

• Replacement defrost board
• Screwdriver

Instructions

1. Power off the Weather King.

2. Remove the cover.

3. Find the defrost control board.

4. Unscrew the control board and replace it with the new one.

5. Power the unit back on and check to see that it is working.

• Make very sure there is no power to the machine before you begin repairs.
