Instructions for Restoring WordPress
Backing up WordPress, allows you to save to your computer, a copy of your WordPress installment --- including all posts, comments, categories and custom fields. If your WordPress installment becomes lost or damaged, restore your backup using phpMyAdmin. PhpMyAdmin is an administrator's tool that is used to back up and restore WordPress. It comes pre-installed with Web hosting control panels, such as cPanel.

Navigate to your website and log in to your Web hosting control panel.

Scroll down the control panel to the "Databases" section and click the "phpMyAdmin" button.

Click the "Databases" tab at the top of the screen, then select the WordPress database that you want to restore.

Wait for the list of WordPress tables to be displayed, then click the "Import" tab at the top of the screen.

Click the "Browse" button once the next screen loads.

Navigate to the location on your computer where you saved the WordPress backup file.

Click the WordPress backup file to select it, then press the "Open" button.

Click the "SQL" radio button under the Format of Imported File section.

Click the "Go" button at the bottom of the screen and wait for WordPress to be restored.

Tips & Warnings
The time it takes to restore WordPress depends on the size of your backup file. You will see a success screen once WordPress has been completely restored.
