How to Make a Friend Request on "Little Big Planet"
Like other PlayStation 3 games, "Little Big Planet" uses the PlayStation Network to connect players for multiplayer games. Thus to make a friend request in the game, all you have to do is use your PS3's menu to make a standard PSN friend request. You just need to know the PSN ID of the friend you wish to add.

Press the "PS" button on your PS3 controller to bring up the XMB Menu.

Select "Friends," then "Add a Friend."

Select the "To" field, then use the virtual keyboard that appears to enter the PSN ID of the friend you want to add.

Enter a message in the message field, if desired.

Select "Send" to send the request.
