Instructions

    • 1

Make 40 single crochets around the ring and join with a slip stitch to the first stitch. If you do not have a 2-inch plastic ring, grab your hook and do eight chain stitches and join them into a ring by doing a slip stitch in the first circle. Then do three chains and continue to make double crochets into the chain loop around the hole. When you get to the end, join with a slip stitch.

    • 2

Start your wings. Position yarn over the hook, and make three chains at the end of the slip stitch and turn your work over and do two double crochets in each of the 11 single crochets Chain three and turn over your work.

    • 3

Make two double crochets across each stitch. Make sure you have two double crocheted in one stitch across the row.

    • 4

Add three more rows, making sure you chain three stitches each time before you start your row. Slip stitch after you finish row five.

    • 5

Start the skirt of your angel. Make sure both sides of the wings are even in between and have 20 double crochets on the left and the right. Link in 21 stitches and double crochet across in a row. Then chain three and double crochet the next of the next 34 double crochets and turn the angel over and create three more chains.

    • 6

Repeat the process of chaining three and double crocheting across the rows until you reach row 11. Then slip stich the row. If you want the angel skirt to be longer then keep adding rows until you reach your desired length and then slip stitch the row.

    • 7

Border the angel. Do single crochets all the way around the angel. Do not border around the head of the angel. Finish off by pulling your yard through, making a loop and making a knot. Cut your working yarn. Weave excess yawn through the border.
