1
Adjust the snow blower chute so that the opening is almost at a 90 degree angle to the snow blower. For the first pass it doesn't matter to which side the chute is pointing.
-
2
Walk the snow blower down the center of the driveway with the auger engaged so it blows the snow out the chute to the side. Consult your snow blower's owner's manual for the proper operation of your particular model.

3
Make another pass to either the left or right of the center pass. Adjust the chute so it is pointing to the side of the driveway closest to you. If the second pass is to the right of the center pass, the chute should point to the right; if the second pass is to the left of the center pass, the chute should point to the left.
-
4
Make your third pass on the opposite side of the center pass as you made on the previous pass. Adjust the chute so it blows the snow to that side. Continue making passes with the snow blower on alternating sides of the center pass until the entire drive is cleared.
