How to Troubleshoot a Samsung Intercept
The Samsung Intercept may require troubleshooting for problems that may occur. In most cases, basic troubleshooting not only saves you a trip to your service provider's repair center, but can resolve the problem. Problems with the Internet or call function of the phone can sometimes be resolved at home. Steps such as a simple battery pull can help without changing the data or settings on your Intercept phone.

Update the Samsung Intercept's profile if you are unable to connect to the Internet. Tap "Menu" from the home screen, then tap "About Phone." Tap "System Updates," then tap "Update Profile." Wait for the phone to check for an update. The phone will return to the home screen when finished.

Pull the phone's battery if you are experiencing poor call quality. Press the phone's battery cover release latch and lift the cover off. Remove the battery. Replace the battery cover and battery after one minute. Press and hold the "Power" button until the phone restarts.

Update the phone's preferred roaming list, or PRL, if you are unable to make or receive calls after roaming. Tap "Menu," then tap "Settings." Tap "About Phone," then tap "System Updates." Tap "Update PRL" and wait for the Intercept to complete the update.

Mount your phone if you are unable to establish a connection between the phone and computer. Connect the phone to the computer with a USB cable. Drag down the Notifications panel at the top of the phone's screen. Tap "USB Connected," then tap "Mount." A connection between the phone and computer should now be established.
