How to Make a Bow Out of Tinsel
While traditional tinsel may be messy, it can add a sparkle to creative projects. Tinsel wire has the same brilliance as loose tinsel but comes in a pipe cleaner form. Because it bends easily, you can use tinsel wire to make your own sparkling holiday tree decorations or decorative present toppers, including bows. Each bow does not take long, making tinsel wire perfect for the project if you want create several of them.
Instructions

1
Cut about 6 inches of the wired tinsel with the wire cutters. If you want a larger bow, cut a longer piece of wired tinsel.
-
2
Lay your tinsel wire horizontally, on a flat work surface.
-
-
3
Find the center and bend your wired tinsel to form a loop, just to the right of the center. Cross the upper end of the loop over the center in a diagonal fashion, ending just below the wire.
-
4
Repeat this with the left side of your bow, with the tail end going diagonally from the left loop. You will end up with two loops and the two tail ends forming an X-shape. It should look like a pair of open scissors.
-
5
Twist the center of the bow a couple of times where all the pieces of wire meet. This will secure the bow.
-
6
Straighten the tail ends and adjust the loops of the bow to make them more round.
