How to Hide Wire Conduits
If you are adding new electrical circuits to an existing construction and do not want to break the wall to hide the conduit, you can use wire molding. Wire molding is a track that has a square finish rather than the typical round finish of conduit. The wire molding hides the electrical wires and wire conduits while providing extra protection to the wiring. In most situations you can even remove the conduit and just use a smaller wire molding, providing a more concealed finish for the electrical work.

Cut the wire molding to the size you need, using the hacksaw.

Pull apart the wire molding. Using your hands, pull off the top cover, known as the molding, separating it from the bottom part known as the raceway.

Install the raceway. Place the raceway in the same path that the wire conduit will go in. Secure the raceway to the wall by screwing it in with the drill and the screws, starting from the corner and putting a screw every 12 inches.

Install the conduit inside the raceway. If you choose to not use the conduit and just install the electrical wires in the raceway, make sure you buy the smallest wire molding possible for the gauge of the wires.

Pop in the molding into the raceway. Starting from the corner, push in the molding and it will snap into place on the raceway. Your conduit and wiring is now covered and secured. You can choose to paint the wire molding the same color as the wall in order to conceal it better.
Tips
- Inform the salesman of the size of the conduit when buying the wire molding. The bigger the conduit, the bigger the wire molding will be.
Warnings
- If you are going to install bare electrical wiring in the molding, you must start the circuit with a starter box. Read the directions with the starter box for directions on how to install it.
