How to Eliminate Moth Ball Odor With Ammonia
The odiferous scent of moth balls is a natural way to repel moths from making their way to your kitchen drawers and pantry, but the smell of the moth balls can linger long after the moths are no longer a threat to your food. To dissipate the smell of moth balls, the area must be cleaned with a cleaning agent that neutralizes the odor, followed by proper ventilation to clear the area of the cleaning product's smell. Cover your hands with rubber gloves to protect them from ammonia.

Pour 1/2 cup of ammonia into the bucket and fill the bucket with warm water.

Submerge the sponge in the bucket's solution and squeeze out the excess solution.

Wipe down the inside of the cabinets and drawers with the sponge and rewet the sponge.

Wash any area the moth balls were previously placed to eliminate the odor. Leave all cabinets and drawers open and open a nearby window for at least three to four hours to circulate the air to eliminate the smell of ammonia.
