How to Make a Heart Filled Friendship Bracelet
Designing a friendship bracelet is an excellent way to show someone how much you value a relationship. There are many different patterns to choose from when creating your own friendship bracelets and one filled with hearts is a unique option that will make it stand out. Choose colors that will be meaningful to your friend to show her how much time and energy you spent coming up with the perfect token of your friendship.

1
Choose the colors of your bracelet by selecting two different colors of embroidery floss. Measure and cut 65 inches of two pieces of each color. This will produce a bracelet that is about six inches long. Take into consideration the size of your friend's wrist when cutting and measuring. For a larger wrist, 70 inches of each piece may work better. Sixty inches of embroidery floss may work for a smaller one.

2
Fold the strands in half and then loop and knot the four pieces of embroidery floss together at the fold. Clip the knot under your clipboard in order to keep the bracelet from moving while you finish the pattern. Be careful to secure the knot directly under the clip of the clipboard so you don't accidentally cut the thin part of the floss.

3
Arrange the colors of your bracelet. For example, if you chose blue and pink floss, label the blue pieces as "1" and the pink pieces as "2." The strands should then be arranged following this pattern: 1212 2121. Spread out the pieces so you can clearly see the pattern.
-
4
Create four backwards knots using the first blue string on the far right. Then create four forwards knots using the first blue string from the far left. The color pattern that you have now created should be 2121 1212. You will now repeat this process once, using the outer pink strands instead of the outer blue strands.
-
5
Use the piece of blue string at the far right to make the color pattern 1212 2112 by making a forward knot. Then, using the blue strand at the far left, create a backward knot, which will change the pattern to 2112 2112.
-
6
Pick up the pink strand of embroidery floss at the far right and create two backwards knots. You will then need to choose the pink strand at the far left and create three forward knots. This will place the pink strands next to each other on your clipboard. The color pattern you should recognize on your clipboard should now be 2121 1212.
-
7
Choose the pink strand at the far right of your clipboard and create a forward knot. Use the pink strand at the far left of your clipboard to make a backward knot, to create the pattern 1221 1221. Then, take the rightmost blue strand and create two backwards knots. Then take the blue strand at the far left and make three forward knots, resulting in the pattern 1212 2121.

8
Repeat steps four through seven until you have made hearts that flow throughout the entire pattern of the friendship bracelet. As you work farther along with your pieces of embroidery floss you should be able to see the heart pattern. If you cannot see the heart pattern, you will need to undo all of your work and begin again from the first step.
