HTC Legend Recovery
If your HTC Legend phone has a persistent glitch, you may need to reset it. Sometimes, simply turning the phone off and back on will fix certain problems, such as unresponsiveness. This is a soft reset. If your phone will not turn off, take out the battery and replace it after a few seconds. If a soft reset does not work, perform a factory reset. Turn off your phone, if necessary and press the "Volume Down" button. While holding this button down, press and release the "Power" button.

Release the "Volume Down" button as soon as you see your phone display Android images on the screen.

Select the "Clear Storage" option on the screen by pressing the "Volume Down" button.

Press the "Power" button.

Press the "Volume Up" button. The phone will reset to factory settings.

Select the "Menu" option from the main screen on your HTC Legend. Select "Settings."

Scroll down until you see the "Privacy" option. Select it and then select "Factory data reset."
