DIY Bridal Shower Banner
Create a unique banner to welcome the bride and her guests to a bridal shower by incorporating a few of her gifts into the banner. Welcome the bride to the event with a "clothesline" full of racy lingerie with her name spelled across the clothing on pieces of cardstock. For a more modest party group, write the bride's name across a collection of photo frames and have her take the frames home with her at the end of the event for her to start filling with memories of her new wedded life.

Instructions

Lingerie Banner
-
1
Lay out the lingerie on your work surface. You will need one piece of lingerie for each letter of the bride's name. Find the smallest lingerie item and measure the length and width to determine what size cardstock will fit on the lingerie.
-
2
Cut squares, rectangles or circles from cardstock in the bridal shower's color scheme. Cut one shape for each article of clothing.
-
-
3
Use a calligraphy pen or stencil to write one letter of the bride's name on each piece of cardstock.
-
4
Cut pieces of double-sided clothing tape and lay two to three pieces across the back of each piece of cardstock. Press the cardstock letters against the clothing.
-
5
Cut a long piece of string or thin rope. Make the string long enough to fit all of the lingerie items with a little bit of space in between. Use strong tape or nails to secure the ends of the string to the wall.
-
6
Attach each piece of lingerie to the "clothesline" with clothes pins.
Photo Frame Banner
-
7
Lay out the photo frames on your work surface. You can use photo frames of all the same size for a uniform-looking banner or use different sizes and shapes. You will need one photo frame for each letter of the bride's name, plus two additional frames.
-
8
Write one letter of the bride's name on the center of each photo frame with wash-off glass markers.
-
9
Open up the remaining two picture frames.
-
10
Insert a picture of the bride into one of the picture frames and a picture of the groom in the other frame. Close the frames.
-
11
Insert nails into the wall to hang the frames, with the pictures of the bride and groom at either end of the bride's name. Alternatively, use pieces of ribbon to secure each picture frame to a long piece of sturdy string or rope. Tie the ends to the ends of a curtain rod, to the back of chairs or to the ends of tent poles when hosting the event outdoors.
