Insert the square end of the Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter into the Mini DisplayPort on the side of your Mac.

Insert one end of the HDMI cable into the port on the adapter.

Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into the "HDMI IN" port on the rear panel of the TV. Your Mac OS X will immediately recognize the connection and begin to send video to your TV's screen.
