How to Leave LinkedIn

How to Leave LinkedIn thumbnail
You can close duplicate or unwanted LinkedIn accounts.

Your LinkedIn account provides opportunities to network with potential employers, classmates and other professionals in your field. If you decide to no longer use LinkedIn, you can close your account to remove your profile details, remove yourself from the site's search features and to disconnect any associations you've made with other site members. If you posses multiple LinkedIn accounts, you will need to close each account individually to leave LinkedIn completely.

Instructions

    • 1

Log in to your LinkedIn account. Click your name's menu on the upper right area of the page, then select "Settings."

    • 2

Click the "Account" tab near the bottom of the page, then click "Close Your Account" in the list of options to the right.

    • 3

Click the option that describes why you want to leave LinkedIn on the "Close Account Reason" step, then click "Continue." Click "Verify Account" on the account information page that appears, then click "Close Account" to confirm you want to leave LinkedIn.
