Set up your wireless router. Connect an Ethernet cable from your modem to the Internet port on the router. Connect the router to your computer using a second Ethernet cable.

Configure the network settings on your video game console. Enter the network's SSID, password and encryption type. Enter everything exactly as you did on your router. You now have a wired computer and a wireless gaming system.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you're router is set to broadcast your SSID, you should be able to select the network from a list on your video game system and connect after only entering a password.

  • Save your network configuration on your game console so it logs in automatically when you turn it on.

  • Always protect your wireless network with a password to keep others from using your signal.
