How to Make Tired Smiley Faces on Facebook

Make tired smiley faces on Facebook to illustrate your feelings of fatigue and exhaustion without words to your friends. The Facebook chat application automatically converts the text code for several smiley faces into graphics, including one that connotes tiredness or frustration. As of August 2011, Facebook doesn't support smiley faces outside of the chat application.

Instructions

1. Log in to your Facebook account. Click the name of the person to whom you want to send a tired smiley in your chat list.

2. Type in the code ":-\" minus the quotation marks. Hit the "Enter" key to form the smiley within the chat message.

3. Input a message that qualifies your feelings, particularly if you use the smiley to begin your conversation with the person. In addition to feelings of tiredness, this smiley also connotes confusion and frustration, so it's important to give the person further context for your feelings.
