How to Assemble a Max AC Vacuum Motor
Air conditioning systems require regular maintenance. Maintenance on an AC system includes recharging refrigerant, troubleshooting components and flushing mineral oils. All of these maintenance procedures require the use of a vacuum motor. A vacuum motor is a device that pulls refrigerant and mineral oil from an AC system. Park your vehicle in a safe location. Open the hood. Locate the air conditioning service valves. The low-side service valve is attached to the suction side hose of the compressor, which goes to the accumulator. The high-side service valve is attached to the discharge side hose of the compressor, which runs to the condenser.

Inspect the vacuum motor. Look for a fitting on the front of the motor labeled vacuum. This is for the vacuum line. Another fitting should be located on the back of the motor. This is for the air line.

Connect the yellow hose of the manifold gauges to the vacuum line. Connect the blue hose to the low-side service valve. Connect the red hose to the high-side service valve. Make sure the hoses are securely fastened to the service valves to prevent refrigerant seepage while you are vacuuming the AC system.
