How to Tell How Many Banana Birds You Need in "Donkey Kong Country 3"

In "Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble," strange creatures called banana birds live in the Northern Kremisphere. You find banana birds hidden in caves, and some of the island natives give you birds if you have enough money or a certain item. There are 15 birds to find, and you need to collect them all to see the true ending of the game. To see how many banana birds you have, visit Wrinkly Kong at any Save Cave.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to the closet world, such as Kremwood Forest or Lake Orangatanga.

    • 2

Move your character through the world map until you reach a glowing cave. This is Wrinkly Kong's Save Cave.

    • 3

Enter the Save Cave. When you collect banana birds, they flock to the Save Cave and fly around inside. Count the banana birds.

    • 4

Subtract the number of birds you counted from 15. The number you get is the number of banana birds left to find.

Tips & Warnings

  • To find the last few banana birds, you need Funky's Gyrocopter. You get the Gyrocopter when you find all the hidden DK Coins and give them to Funky. Use the Gyrocopter to reach the high caves where the birds live.
