How to Make a Detailed Character Sheet
A character sheet is a set of two-dimensional drawings completed on a single page. Character sheets are used to help artists understand how a 2D character will look when it is modeled in 3D. When drawing character sheets, it is important for the character to stand in a "T"-shaped pose with his arms extended straight out on either side. This allows artists to see their characters from all angles, with no parts of the body hidden by the character's hands.

Draw the character in a "T"-shaped pose with his palms facing forward. The character should be facing straight forward, with his feet facing forward. The legs should be drawn evenly spaced, as the character would normally stand. This is the first drawing of the character, and it should be placed in the very center of the character sheet.

Draw a side profile of the character on the left side of the page. You don't have to include the hands of the character in a side pose because this can interfere with other details on the side of the character's body. If you do want to draw in the hands, draw them using dotted lines so the rest of the body can be seen behind.

Draw the character for a third and final time in a "T"-shaped pose, but this time draw the character from the back. This drawing should be located on the right side of your character sheet.

Draw close-up views of specific elements such as character accessories, the face of the character or any other intricate part of the character. Include these close-up drawings on another page, or in a column on one side of the character sheet.
