How to Make a Scrapbook Game
Scrapbooking -- preserving memories and photos in a specially designed album -- is a popular hobby for all ages. Creating a scrapbook does not have to be an individual activity. Making a scrapbook game is an entertaining way to get a large group involved in creating a scrapbook together. It allows scrapbookers with a competitive streak to compare their designs and talents. A scrapbook game makes an ideal wedding or baby shower activity, or it can add something new to a girls' night out.

1
Determine your game's objective. For instance, if you want to give a new mom or bride a baby or wedding album, your game should challenge each player to design a layout for a designated milestone or wedding memory, leaving blank spaces for the actual photos.

2
Establish the parameters for the game. Determine whether or not there will be a time limit. Decide if competitors will be limited to a bag of scrapbooking supplies provided or if they must bring their own. Select whether scrapbookers will all be working with the same set of pictures, or if they will be assigned certain layouts or themes to create.

Add elements of fun and interaction to your game. You may have each player bring her own photos and then trade with another player to create a layout. Or, ask each player begin a layout and then rotate around the table so that each player gets a chance to add to each page.

Select a judge and prizes for your game, if desired. Give a gift certificate or goodie bag from a local scrapbooking store to the player with the most creative layout. Consider multiple small prizes for specific categories, such as "best use of photographs" or "most colorful layout."
