Instructions

    • 1

Check the structural integrity of the pipes traveling to and from the unit. Any cracks or loose fittings can cause the machine to vibrate and these should be immediately replaced.

    • 2

Visually inspect the unit. Check that all openings for combustion and ventilation are not blocked and that the exhaust vent pipe is not blocked; both issues which could cause the machine to run abnormally, vibrate or shut down.

    • 3

Hand-tighten the drain screws you will find on the base of the unit. If these are in any way loose, the unit will vibrate during normal operation, potentially leading to more serious problems.

    • 4

Clean the air filter located within the cold inlet. Simply use a small brush -- for example a toothbrush -- and remove any debris which may have accumulated and reinsert the filter back into the cold water inlet. This will remedy the problem of blockages causing the machine to run rough and vibrate.
