  • Bookmarks
  • Books On Tape Club Memberships
  • Online Gift Certificates

Step1
See which books the person already has. If he or she is missing the most recent release of a favorite author, then you have the perfect gift!
Step2
Check out Ken Follett for some excellent historical fiction.
Step3
Look for Robert Ludlum and W. E. B. Griffin, authors of other top-selling espionage fiction.
Step4
Browse the spy novel sections of the online book stores. Many have reviews and reader comments that can help you choose.
Step5
Look under the mystery and thriller categories at the book store if you can't find a section called spies or intrigue.

on 11/22/2005 Len Deighton's spy novels are a little different from most: They star people rather than heroes. The attention Deighton attaches to character and setting is second-to-none. Especially seek out his trilogies, such as Game-Set-Match.
