Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
Step1
Think about what preteen girls enjoy. Things like action figures, video games, a jump rope, books, a Chinese jump rope, jacks, passes to a theme park or movie theater would make good stocking stuffers.
Step2
Choose things that she can learn with. (Educational gifts don't have to be boring.) Some things that might get her thinking include a magnifying glass, painting set, science kit, magic tricks, a camera and film, or a diary.
Step3
Look for things that are fun - a Slinky, stuffed animals, a Pez dispenser, a yo-yo, bubbles, gift certificates (for CDs or books for instance, or clothing merchants), or some stickers.
Step4
Try a Nintendo Game Boy or a portable CD player if you don't mind spending that much.
Step5
Consider hair accessories, nail polish, a watch, earrings, flavored lip gloss, soaps or a locket.
Step6
Find her some Beanie Babies, card games, small puzzles, modeling clay or art supplies.
Step7
Consider a bike lock, bike light equipment, or inline skate accessories.
Step8
If she collects cards, such as Pokémon, sports or Star Wars, stick a pack or two in.

on 11/24/2007 Ew. Most 12 year old girls HATE glitter. Being that i am one i should know. Itunes gift card would be good but you can only spend it on so much. by far- money is the best option

on 12/13/2006 How about Itunes gift cards so they can download thier favorite music. Also you can't go wrong with chocolate. One thing I have learned from my 11 year old is they are not much into "junky" items they like stuff that means something to them. Especially good make up items, cute purses or wallets, cute or cool cell phone covers if they have a phone. They are a lot more mature at this age and want more grown up type things.
Peace!

on 8/8/2006 1. Pay more attention to your daughter! Preteen girls, like normal people, are all different. Don't use this list until you're sure that your daughter likes the stuff on the list.
2. If you're too lazy, just give her money. I would've done the first one if I were you, but money might work.

on 6/30/2006 I have seen how girls act. They are a squealing bunch, that's for sure. Whenever they are excited about anything at all, they squeal! So if you get her something she likes, she'll probably squeal with approval.
