Step 1
Think about what a young girl enjoys. Dolls and stuffed animals, crayons, coloring books, and read-along tapes would all make good stocking stuffers.
-
Step 2
Choose things that she can learn with, such as a hand puppet, battery-operated games, nesting boxes, magnetic letters and numbers, play food and money, and Legos.
-
Step 3
Consider bath markers, bubble bath or fun wind-up bath toys.
-
Step 4
Look for things that are fun - a Slinky, small cans of Play-Doh, finger paints, bubbles or some stickers.
-
Step 5
Find some pretend cosmetics, pretty hair accessories, fun jewelry, puzzles, a fun drinking straw or Beanie Babies.
-
Step 6
Look for age-appropriate trucks, cars, planes, trains and boats, if she's into those.
-
Step 7
Remember that a fascination with all things horses would not be out of the ordinary for a young girl or preteen.

on 11/22/2005 Last year we had a wonderful picture of our four year old riding on a pony blown up to poster size, rolled it up and stuffed it in her big stocking with the rest of her stuffers. She loved it!
