You can view the presentation outline, current slide and notes page in Normal View in Microsoft PowerPoint 2000 for Windows, eliminating laborious toggling between views to see all information for a given slide while developing a presentation.

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Go to the View menu and select Normal.
Step2
Create or edit the slide in this view.
Step3
Add speaker notes by clicking once in the notes pane.
Step4
View and work on a different slide by clicking its title in the outline pane.

Tips & Warnings

  • Mac OS users can view the slide and notes in the Notes Page view.
  • Use the Normal View button at the bottom of the PowerPoint window, instead of the View menu.
  • Change the size of the outline and notes panes by dragging the border.
