How to Navigate Through a PowerPoint Presentation

PowerPoint provides several ways to move from slide to slide in a presentation.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Select either the Slide or Normal (Windows only) view to use the keyboard commands: Press Page Up or Page Down to move to the previous or next slide, respectively.
Step2
Move to the first slide by pressing Ctrl+Home (Windows) or Command-Home (Mac OS).
Step3
Move to the last slide by pressing Ctrl+End (Windows) or Command-End (Mac OS).

Tips & Warnings

  • You can also use the vertical scroll bar on the right side of the window to scroll through the slides.
  • In Outline or Slide Sorter view, you can double-click on a slide icon to view that slide.
