Things You'll Need:

  • Internet Access
  • Chat Software
  1. Step 1

Use an Internet search engine, such as Google or Yahoo!, to search the Web for jokes. Try typing "humor" or "jokes" into the search field to bring up a categorized list of various humor sites. Narrow your search by using a comedy genre: "computer jokes" or "science jokes."

  2. Step 2

Search the Web for the names of your favorite comedians, cartoonists and other humorists. Many comics have their own Web sites or sites created by fans.

  3. Step 3

Find newsgroups pertaining to humor and jokes. Many people like to post their favorite jokes to these forums.

  4. Step 4

Look for chat rooms hosted by your ISP or other Web sites that pertain specifically to comedy. Humorous discussions often generate hilarious one-liners and other jokes.

Tips & Warnings
  • Sign up with websites that offer to send you a joke a day via e-mail.
  • Some comedians are protective of their material. If you find yourself using someone else's jokes, be sure to let others know where you first heard them.
