Condoms help prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. Put on a condom before there is any vaginal, oral or anal contact with the penis.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Condoms With Spermicide
  • Female Condoms
  • Lubricated Latex Condoms
  • Mood Enhancers
  • Non Latex Condoms
  • Non Lubricated Condoms
  • Personal Lubricants
  • Specialty Condom
  • Mood CD's
  • Mood Videos
  1. Step 1

Carefully open the aluminum wrapper so as not to tear the condom.

  2. Step 2

Determine which way the condom will unroll.

  3. Step 3

Place it over the head of the erect penis so that the condom will unroll onto the penis shaft. If uncircumcised, pull the foreskin back to reveal the head of the penis before putting on the condom.

  4. Step 4

Allow for a half-inch space at the tip of the condom to collect semen.

  5. Step 5

Pinch the air out of the tip with one hand.

  6. Step 6

With the other hand, unroll the condom to the base of the penis.

  7. Step 7

Lubricate the outside of the condom if it is not pre-lubricated.

  8. Step 8

Withdraw the penis immediately after ejaculation, before the penis softens. Firmly hold the condom against the penis shaft so semen does not spill.

  9. Step 9

Carefully remove the condom and throw it away.

Tips & Warnings
  • Store condoms in a cool, dry place.
  • Animal tissue condoms do not protect as well against sexually transmitted diseases as latex condoms.
  • Never use oil-based lubricants (petroleum jelly or mineral oil) on latex condoms.
  • Do not use a condom that is old or brittle.
