Things You'll Need:
- Christmas Lists
- Cookies
- Whole Milks
- Napkins

Step 1
Make sure the fire in the fireplace is out so it won't burn Santa when he comes down the chimney. If kids go to bed early, perhaps parents can put out the fire before they go to bed.
-
Step 2
Open the screen on your fireplace, if you have one, so Santa can get in without any trouble.
-
Step 3
Leave a light on for Santa so he can see to do his work. This shouldn't be a candle or a Christmas light, but perhaps a lamp.
-
Step 4
Leave a small plate of cookies or fudge, or a candy cane for Santa to nibble. He gets hungry on his all-night journey around the world.
-
Step 5
Be sure to leave a glass of milk, too. No one likes to eat cookies or candy without milk!
-
Step 6
Write a letter to Santa with your Christmas list on it, and leave it alongside the plate of cookies and glass of milk. He will be sure to see it when he eats his snack.
-
Step 7
Try not to peek into the room where Santa will be. He likes to work with no one watching him.
-
Step 8
Wake up early on Christmas morning and check to see if Santa ate his snack and read your letter.
-
Step 9
Now go see what he left under the tree!

on 11/26/2006 In australia our family prefer to leave a glass of beer for santa with cookies and a carrot for rudolph. Also if you dont have a chimney you can have your children make a key out of cardboard an ovesized key paint it gold and decorate with glitter then hang on the outside of your door for santa to get inside

on 11/22/2005 Always belive in Santa, or he won't come to pay you a visit, and he won't leave you anything under the tree.

on 11/22/2005 We leave carrots for the
reindeer 'cause they get
hungry, too. Also, you can sprinkle dry oatmeal on your lawn for the reindeer if you don't have a chimney or on your roof if you do.
