on 6/21/2008 This is exactly the recipe I was looking for. I don't cook much, but with food prices rising, and looking to reduce the amount of garbage ~ plastic or glass ~ that I produce, I am beginning to do more. But... I don't have "gadgets" like food processors or blenders. Just the basics, and this is a "just the basics" recipe. Excellent! All I need is a potato masher ~ $2 well spent.

on 11/22/2005 Try using orange juice as the liquid to cover the apples when cooking. It's delicious!

on 11/22/2005 Peel and core three apples. Cut into small chunks. Place in food processor with cup water (more if more apples). Process. Place mixture into microwaveable bowl. Microwave for about 1 to 1 minutes. Add sugar and spices to taste. Serve warm or chilled!!
