Step 1
Consider what accessories your cyclist doesn't have or might need to replace.
-
Step 2
Think in terms of packages of things that can be useful: water bottle and cage, bike flat kit, rain gear, headlight packages, gloves, helmets, rack and packs. Some of the accessories come in a wide range of styles and colors.
-
Step 3
Look into things that would make good additions to the bike itself: a new saddle, fenders, handlebar extensions. If you're adding to the bike, be sure the components you buy will fit the style and size of the bike the cyclist owns.
-
Step 4
Use your imagination when putting the package together: Find cycling magazines to use as wrapping paper, or surprise the cyclist by getting her bike outfitted at the shop without her knowing about it.
-
Step 5
Consider using one of the accessories as a gift basket. For instance, put a bunch of smaller items in a helmet, in a bike bag or in a pair of gloves. If you use a basket, think about arranging the items like a bouquet.
