Things You'll Need:
- Prewash Stain Remover
- Baking Soda
- Sponge Or Brush
- Laundry Detergent
-
Step 1
Treat stains as soon as possible. If you can't launder the garment right away, blot the stain with water to keep it from setting. Use a small amount of water so the stain does not bleed. Make sure you do not rub or smear the stain.
-
Step 2
Consult the cleaning instructions on the clothing care label. If the item is dry-clean only, bring it to a professional dry cleaner. Make sure to let them know exactly what type of stain it is.
-
Step 3
If the item is washable, cover the stain with baking soda and moisten it with a damp sponge or brush. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
-
Step 4
Next, apply prewash stain remover to the lipstick and allow it to soak according to the instructions. If the stain is set in or heavy, allow the stain remover to soak in overnight. If you dont have any prewash remover you can use a neutral soap.
-
Step 5
Wash the item according to the label's instructions. Repeat if the stain remains.
-
Step 6
Air-dry the item. Do not put it in the dryer if a remnant of the stain remains, because heat will set the stain.
-
Step 7
Bring the garment to a professional dry cleaner if you can't remove the stain.

on 2/18/2008 NEVER!!!! Spray hairspray on any garment b/c it is an acid and will set the stain fast.

on 2/16/2008 Much too complicated!
Better rip-up the red-light spot area, tear your shirt in some parts, apply yourself a punch in one eye, scratch your face and arms, some dirt in the pants and jacket. You'll be received as an hero that showed that a Giant fanatic should never be sweared at.
May be a little more expensive than all other suggestions here, but the only one you can use right away. And be safe.

on 11/22/2005 As soon as you can, spray some hair spray on the lipstick and wait until it dries completely before washing it. It's foolproof.
