Step1
Know that Vtech toys are electronic toys that focus on making learning fun. All Vtech toys have lights and sounds and require batteries.
Step2
Understand that Vtech infant toys are appropriate for babies that are 6 months and older - with the exception of the Little Smart Baby Blossom, Little Smart Groovy Tunes and Little Smart Storytime Rhymes, which are for babies 3 months and older and cost about $13. All of these toys play sing-along songs.
Step3
Notice that the other Vtech infant toys encourage the learning of numbers, songs and coordination.
Step4
Recognize that all Vtech infant toys are designed to be enjoyed by the child up to age 3, so the toys have a long life span.
Step5
Consider purchasing the Little Smart My Butterfly ($10) with its light-up buttons, phrases, giggles and songs.
Step6
Know that little hands will delight in pushing buttons on the Little Smart Tiny Touch Phone Plus ($13), the Little Smart Magic Lights ($20) and the Little Smart Count 'n Go Bug ($20).
Step7
Select a Vtech baby toy from the shopping list below or at an online store or your local toy store.

Tips & Warnings

  • The Groovy Tunes toy won the Dr. Toy Award in 1999 and has many moving parts to entertain babies.
  • If you shop at a local store, check the toy you select to make sure it works.
