Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Order supply catalogs for little tidbits of information.

  2. Step 2

Check out "Make Candles" and "Make Rolled Beeswax Candles," under Related eHows. Print copies of these eHows for your kit.

  3. Step 3

Include a good beginning candle-making book.

  4. Step 4

Gather basic tools - candy thermometer, old cooking pot, potholders, small knife, scissors and molds.

  5. Step 5

Add materials - wax, scent, color, beeswax sheets, craft wax sheets, wick tabs and wicks. Small amounts of different scents, colors, wax and wicks will enhance your gift.

  6. Step 6

Include a few extras - embellishments for candles or candleholders.

  7. Step 7

Present kit in a plastic tub. The tub can be used to store supplies.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can ask a candle supply shop for the amount of wax to purchase for your kit.
  • Pick up unique items to use as molds. For glass molds, make sure the top is wider than the bottom so that the candle will slide out.
  • Do not include anything as a mold that will melt under heat.
